What the AI's answer looks like
Illustrative excerpt: the real answer depends on the AI you use and what you fill in.
⚠️ Bottom line: there are not enough people. Weekdays need 4 shifts a day (2 early, 2 late), but only 3 full-timers can work weekdays and each needs two days off, so every weekday late shift is one person short.
Pick one:
1. Add a part-timer who can work weekdays
2. Staff weekday late shifts with one person
Here is a schedule with one person on weekday late shifts:
| Date | Early | Late |
|---|---|---|
| Mon 12/1 | Wang, Fang | Kevin |
| Tue 12/2 | Wang, Kevin | Fang |
| Wed 12/3 | Kevin, Fang | (Wang off) ... |
Tips
Be specific: "never 6 days in a row" works better than "do not overwork"
When the AI says you are short-staffed, decide how to adjust and ask it to redo the schedule
Paste the CSV into Excel and fine-tune it yourself
